In the interest of protecting the health of our clients, their families, and our counselors, during the coronavirus (COVID-19) advisory, we continue to serve our community through our online counseling option, rather than in person at our offices. If we can serve you, contact us by phone or through the contact page with any questions or to schedule an appointment.

Healing Journey Ministries

Our journey can be a combination of celebrations and challenges. Along the journey stress can happen. Loss happens. Wounds happen. Setbacks, divorce, addictions, depression, anxiety, and disappointment can happen. The compassionate acknowledgment and promise of Exodus 3:7-8 still extends to everyone today.

Then the Lord said, “I have observed the misery of my people in Egypt, and have heard them crying out because of their oppressors. I know about their sufferings,  and I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and to bring them from that land to a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey… — Exodus 3:7-8

At Healing Journey Ministries, Inc., we meet you on your journey of life to assist you in understanding true identity and experiencing freedom in Christ. Whether you consider yourself a strong believer who just wants to grow, to get “unstuck,” or you have lost your way on the path, you are welcome in this walk. Your problems, questions, and hurts are not too big for this journey.
I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

How is Christian Counseling Different?

“Christian” Counseling must counsel the soul with techniques generated by the Spirit of God; counseling which is not Christian counsels the soul with techniques generated by the spirit of this world.”

“Holy Spirit-led therapy seeks to lead the soul to abandon all hope in personal strength and thus to total reliance upon Christ’s strength, while secular therapy seeks to lead the soul to greater autonomy (alas, even with “God’s help”)!”

“Biblical counseling seeks to lead the Believer to the end of his or her strength—regardless of how productive (or nonproductive) such “strength” may have proven to be—and into the certainty of Christ’s strength through him! The Holy Spirit, often through the school of adversity, always works against the Believer’s dependency upon the flesh. Ultimately his flesh becomes nonproductive by Supernatural design at which time many seek counseling.”
